How does APP work?

Since the ear plays a central role in the earliest prenatal brain-development it opens up an extraordinary gate to the human brain: Our ears not only control our balance and all motor functions. Through the ears also all aspects of the voice, of verbal communication and of our mental state as well as the charging of our brain with energy can be influenced.
It is crucial that the proper function of the ear gets restored so that it can process sounds of all frequencies correctly.
This can be achieved through the use of the listening training APP.

Are there studies to prove the effectiveness of APP?

A very interesting study on the effectiveness of APP was published in the Journal of Neurotherapy, Vol. 11(4) 2007, p. 37-49
The study shows improved brain functions in all the participants due to the APP method. An abstract can be found by going to

Then search the site for Audio-Psycho-Phonology.

What is Audio-Psycho-Phonology (APP)?

The late Professor Alfred Tomatis was a French Ear-Nose- and Throat specialist who became a pioneer in the study of auditory processing and language development.

In 1953 he was able to put down a number of laws on which the discipline of Audio-Psycho-Phonology is based. These laws are known as the “Tomatis-Effect”, a set of three laws that identified a voice-ear-brain connection and which explain why the “way we listen” has a profound impact on almost all aspects of our being.
